hondros college school of nursing sealHondros College School of Nursing has recently revamped its website with resources aimed at helping students secure job placement after graduation.

The new Career Services page provides tools for both students/alumni and employers. The Students and Alumni area features the following:

  • Information and resources to complete strengths assessments
  • Lessons and examples on how to write and format a resume
  • Tip sheets on networking, preparing for an interview, and how to discuss terms of employment with your hiring manager
  • Short presentations and worksheets to make the information interactive and personal to students.

The student pages were written by Sharon DeLay, MBA, SPHR, CPRW, CPCC, of Boldly Go Coaching. DeLay has recently contributed to two books on the subject of job search methods, The Twitter Job Search Guide and Designing a Cover Letter.

The Employer area provides information on how hiring managers can participate in career fairs at each of the Hondros College’s three nursing campuses and meet with future nursing graduates.

Hondros College School of Nursing has also recently begun providing video resume services to upcoming graduates. Video resumes allow students to present themselves to employers in a more impactful, personal media than the standard written resume. Video allows students to demonstrate their professionalism and soft skills to future employers.

The Career Services department at Hondros College School of Nursing is dedicated to helping students find placement after graduation. The goal of offering these innovative services is to help students demonstrate to prospective employers that Hondros College School of Nursing graduates are ready and prepared to make a difference as a professional nurse.

Are you an upcoming nursing graduate? Do you plan to use some of these new offerings? What other services would you like to see?
