Here at Hondros College, we always put our students first.
Accordingly, we’ve been hard at work brainstorming and implementing ways to improve the student experience online. The dust has settled and now we feel compelled to share the news. Below are a few new offerings that we’ve recently made available to our current and former students:
- Text Message Updates - Hondros College students can now opt in to receive texts from their school. The purpose of these text messages is to provide our students with timely weather alerts, class updates (including changes in location or class times) and class reminders! We couldn’t be more excited to offer this service, especially before the winter weather really rolls in. For new students, if you’d like to receive these text message updates, be sure to select YES next to the “Receive important class updates and reminders via a text message?” option when registering for an account on hondros.edu. Current students may also opt in by logging in to their hondros.edu account, clicking on the “Account” link in the top-right and then selecting YES next to the “Receive important class updates and reminders via a text message?“ option.
- Digital Course Guide - For those interested in career-focused education from Hondros College, we now offer a digital course guide. This e-magazine style course guide offering functions exactly as a printed version would - turning pages and all - right on your screen. You can flip through pages, zoom in for easy reading, create virtual post-it notes (check out the buttons in the right-hand column) and find even more information with embedded links to our website! There’s no reason to wait for the course guide in the mail! Feel free to visit the Course Guide Request page of our website and click the monitor widget to view the digital version* of the course guide. You can also request to receive our digital course guide via e-mail - on the same page as above - and you’ll receive a link within the hour! [*Please note this is a Flash application. If you're prompted to install Adobe Flash, the download will only take a minute and won't harm your computer in any way!]
- Updated Online Accounts - Online accounts have been updated with a handful of new features. For starters, current students can now view their order history and access all receipts any time you need them. All you have to do is log in to your hondros.edu online account and click “Order History” in the top-right. More importantly - and even more exciting for us - is that most students now have the ability to reprint their own course completion certificates! No more having to call in and have us reprint certificates* for you! In order to access this feature, attendance and/or grades need to be input. Then, you can log in to your hondros.edu online account, click on “Classes,” click on the specific class for which you need the certificate, then click on the “Print Certificate” button. It’s that easy! [*Unfortunately, insurance students still need to call in for a certificate reprint. Also, any certificates earned prior to 2006 will need to be reprinted by Hondros College. Any certificate we reprint still carries a $15 fee.]
Just to reiterate, we are very excited to offer these new features to our current, new and prospective students. Be on the lookout for even more updates in the coming months…
